ALAN
RYDER

Alan Ryder is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and Certified Pedorthist dedicated to helping patients overcome injuries and live pain-free lives. A native of Syracuse NY, Alan is a lifetime runner, cyclist and triathlete.  He has worn custom-made orthotics for decades himself. Alan’s designs custom orthotics by blending over 35 years’ experience treating patients with an artist’s eye for gait analysis and an athlete’s understanding of body mechanics. He has designed orthotics for thousands of patients from all walks of Life. From white and blue-collar professionals to politicians and royalty to professional and high school athletes, Alan customizes every pair for a perfect fit – satisfaction guaranteed.

He is a Certified Pedorthist through the American Board Certification for Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics. Alan has also completed a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) training.

Alan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from SUNY Cortland.

He earned his Associate’s Degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant from Cerritos College in CA.

Alan’s #1 patient – and his biggest fan - is his wife, Bridget. She is a lifetime competitive runner and triathlete, and has been wearing orthotics since she was 13 years old. Alan and Bridget enjoy training and racing together, playing pickleball and golf, and love to travel. They live in Maryland with their Schnoodle, Owen. They have two grown daughters who are not runners, but do wear orthotics, and share their parent’s passion of travel.
